There's no explicable reason for it, but if you think about it, Oddish would be the most ridiculously dangerous creature if it wanted to. They're not very noticeable, hide easily, and work beautifully in night and day. They can be strong if you train them properly, and they have so many status effects. It's almost like they're the perfect assassins-
